aluminum sheets, copper wire, varnish, pure tones, electronics | The installation consists of black aluminum sheets of various sizes suspended on black copper wire. They form a cluster that both condenses and disperses in the exhibition space. Pure tones are transmitted to the objects through tactile transducers attached in the mounting of the objects. The resonations become visible as standing waves in the copper wires, which lead to the individual objects. Because the objects are hung at varying heights, they resonate at different pitches. The tones form quiet acoustic spaces around the individual objects. In approaching the objects and investigating them with the ears, an intimate situation arises. The sounds around the objects become almost corporeal, and the borders between internal and external spatial perception become blurred.
